Do you really know what your clients want? You have a great show, you’re professional in all of your business dealings and you do your best to serve your clients. But do you really know what they want and are looking for? This is the question that magician Julian Franklin asks and answers in this first rate audio CD.

Julian Franklin is a successful magician and entrepreneur who writes “The Business of Magic” column in each month’s Linking Ring (the publication of the International Brotherhood of Magicians-IBM). I always enjoy reading Franklin’s column and find the information in it to be insightful, practical and useful. Franklin is definitely doing something right. He performs some 90 library shows during the summer, and this is in addition to his school and other magic-related business ventures. Franklin has something to say and says it well.

Recorded live at KIDabra 2004, “Giving Clients What They REALLY Want!” is a lecture that Franklin delivered at the convention. The one hour lecture addresses topics such as birthday party parents, public libraries, elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, and restaurants. He also explains the top six mistakes that your competitors are probably making.

What Franklin does best is explain, and get you thinking about what clients are truly looking for when they hire a magician. No flighty and poetic pie-in-the-sky type rambling, but practical advice that makes sense. The audio on the CD is clear, and Franklin speaks in an amiable and professional manner that is easy to listen to.

If you’re looking to boost your magic business, Julian Franklin serves some useful lessons in “Giving Clients What They REALLY Want.” I know that he got me thinking. And I’ll definitely be incorporating some of his concepts into my own marketing.
