Science Magic Trick - Steel Straw

This science magic trick is actually more of a stunt than a magic trick. But the secret lies in a scientific principle with air. In this science magic trick, you cause an ordinary straw to penetrate deeply into an apple by simply thrusting the straw. If you’ve got great aim and technique, you can actually cause an ordinary straw to completely pass through the apple.

Warning: Please be careful with this science magic trick because if you hit your hand with the straw, you can injure your hand. It’s safest to perform this trick according to the instructions with the apple resting on a table and with your hands nowhere near the apple.

Materials:
A plastic drinking straw (“bendy” straws will not work)
An apple
