Can I Have Your Autograph?
You ask a spectator to freely select a card, sign it and return it to the deck. Later in your set, you invite the audience to view your celebrity autographs that you carry around in a leather wallet.The plastic windows, which you flip through, hold celebrity autographs that are written on playing cards. The last card is face down and when you turn it over, it's the spectator's signed card.
No Palming
On the plus side, this one is easy to do as there's no palming. Also, the wallet resets automatically. It's the theme that is truly fantastic and gives a reason to cause a spectator's signed card to fly into a magician's wallet.The leather "wallet" is a quality item but it's not one that you would carry around for everyday use. It's made for holding credit cards or photographs in its plastic flip-out windows.
In the Pocket
The loading of the card resembles that of a well known and popular magician's wallet on the market, but it lacks the strong misdirection. As a result, Terry LaGerould recommends that you get the card signed earlier in your act, perform a few tricks and then bring out the wallet.The spectators should not be thinking of the signed card when you present the autographs. Perform this one right after the card is signed and there's a chance that you'll get caught.
For theme and entertainment value, and the potential to connect with audiences, I thoroughly like this one. I'm going to have to try it out in my restaurants.
