Making the Drop
The dropper is a lightweight, solid plastic box that securely holds a deck of cards (poker size) and pins into your sleeve with a jumbo safety pin. A press of a latch and the box of cards fall right out. The kit comes with two pins so you can set up the dropper for two different jackets. The box has thumb punchouts so you can retrieve a deck from the top if you need to.The enclosed DVD shows you everything that you need to know to use the device. The dropper itself hides well under a sleeve. Best of all, Duffy teaches an excellent and subtle method to unlatch the dropper and release the deck.
Down the Sleeve
The dropper offers a variation on the well known load where you drop an object down your sleeve from inside of your jacket. However, with Duffy's method, you can freely use your arms until you're ready to drop the deck, which is an advantage.Duffy demonstrates the dropper with a presentation of an "invisible deck" routine. When a spectator tosses the "invisible" cards to Duffy, and the deck seems to appear from nowhere. Duffy also teaches a powerful deck switch using the device.
Well Made
I think that Duffy's deck dropper is one of the best engineered magic props that I've seen in awhile. It's professional, effective and works flawlessly. I highly recommend this one.If you have any questions about this or any other product that we have reviewed, please feel free to post a message on our forum by clicking here.
