Review: E.S.Perfect DVD by Peter Nardi

A packet effect that's been on the market for six years and now being re-released on DVD, E.S.Perfect is a great trick. I watched the DVD the other day and immediately put this one to use in my restaurants over the weekend where it received great responses.

An Impression

In E.S.Perfect, you bring out a packet of five cards that display ESP symbols (circle, cross, wavy lines, square and star). These cards have red backs. You hand the spectators five blue-backed cards and the spectator does not know what is on these cards.

You hand one of your red-backed cards to the spectator and ask him to keep it face down. You ask the spectator to hand you one of his blue-backed cards, a free choice, and you keep it face down. When you turn over the two traded cards, they match. As a kicker, the spectator turns over his remaining four cards and finds that they are all blank.

The DVD comes with ESP cards that are ready to go and teaches several variations that make use of different themes such as "poker," "winning and losing" and more. For the variations, the DVD teaches you how to make your own gimmicks.

The trick is easy to learn and perform and appropriate for beginners. As I mentioned earlier, I have immediately put this one to use and it's probably going to remain a permanent fixture in my walk around sets.
