Trick Review: Excalibur Deck by Devin Knight
When you have to force a card under the most scrutinized conditions, consider using Devin Knight’s Excalibur Deck when a slip, hindu, cross-cut or even classic may feel too obvious.

Just Say "Stop"

The Excalibur Deck is for those times when you absolutely, positively have to force a card and want to display a clear and clean procedure that appears fair. You show a deck of cards to be different by dealing some of them face-up. You then turn the deck over and slowly deal the cards face down onto the table into a pile and ask the spectator to say “stop.”

When the spectator says “stop,” you can clearly show that the cards immediately before and after the selected card are different. With some coaching and control, you can allow a spectator to deal the cards and stop where they wish. This is a great deck to use when you want to publish a classified ad in the local paper as a card revelation or mail a card prediction to a key individual.

Forcing It

Combining some basic principles with some easy handling, there are no rough/smooths or markings or gimmicked cards. And the deck requires no sleight of hand or switches. If you can deal cards onto a table you can work with this deck. The Excalibur deck comes in Bicycle Poker stock so it looks like a regular deck.

I can think of a couple of forces that I would want to use under exacting conditions and the Excalibur Deck rises among the best. It appears to be fair without being fair. Perhaps the fairest force of them all.
