Ungars presentations are generally clever and well thought out, and there are ideas and themes that will appeal to a wide range of performers. Some presentations are geared too much towards Ungars personality and profession as a doctor, and a few are straightforward and rather disappointing. But overall, Ungar is far more hit than miss.
Even if you dont use Ungars presentations, youll learn about close-up effects that he feels are strong, and probably glean some presentation ideas and angles that you can use on other effects that you already perform. This book is a worthwhile and thought-provoking read that can improve the way you present magic.
