Spell This
As the name implies, Subtle Speller allows you spell to all four aces. No difficult sleights here. In Strange Interchange, four signed selections visibly change places with four Jokers. And then, the four signed selections are found in four different pockets in the magician’s jacket. Double Barrel offers an ultra-easy revelation of two selected cards.
The only effect that uses a coin, in Quicksilver, a coin vanishes from the performer's fingertips, and reappears halfway through the deck next to a previously signed selection. The offbeat Drop Out offers a comedy effect where all of the ink appears to fall from a deck of cards, leaving the cards completely blank. This is the only effect that relies on a trick deck. A bonus routine, Three & Easy is a card to pocket effect where two selected cards are found in the magician’s pocket and a third in his wallet. This one is less of a routine and more of a discussion of the various moves and work.
If you’re an experienced card worker, there’s probably little here that you haven’t seen before. And if you prefer the challenge of learning and mastering a knuckle-buster, there’s probably little here to challenge your dexterity. But if you have basic command of card sleights and could use some good routines, you may find them on this DVD.
