Review: King of Custard by Paul Megram

About.com Rating 4

By , About.com Guide

Paul Megram, AKA "Colonel Custard," is a successful kids magician in the UK. This DVD offers his secrets to running a successful magic business and covers topics such as: handling phone calls, dealing with clients, creating a corporate image, starting the party, games to play at parties with kids, receiving pay, getting repeat bookings and more.

All Business

I agree with so much of what Megram says. Some of his concepts I learned on my own over the years through trial and error. And I gleaned some useful new ideas by listening to the conversation between Megram and host Dave Allen.

This DVD reveals Megram’s secrets for conducting business but there are no magic secrets or routines that are explained. You do, however, get to see him perform some of his first rate routines.

Playing Games

In addition to his magic show, Megram offers a children’s package that includes games that he leads with kids. He’s also got an interesting angle on getting repeat bookings.

The DVD may be priced a bit high, but it all depends on what you’re willing to pay for the useful knowledge within. If you want to jump start your kids party business, you may well find some useful information on this DVD.
