Who's Got the Ball?
In this mentalism effect, a selection of small white balls and one single black ball are shown to the audience. They are dropped singly into an opaque bag, which is then shaken by a spectator to ensure they are well mixed. The magician holds a corner of the bag and one-by-one, a group of spectators each take a ball from the bag, keeping it concealed at all times in their hands. Despite the thorough mixing and random distribution of the balls, the magician can instantly tell who holds the black ball.
No Slam Dunk

Other disadvantages are that spectators who compare the balls may be able to detect the secret (contrary to what the instructions say) and the balls have a cheap, toy-like plastic feel. There are other versions of this effect that use mysterious looking stones and other objects that can lend to a mood, and they rely on methods that are stronger and far less prone to error.
No Sure Thing
And in case its just me (I had a few other magicians try out the effect and they had similar results), I recommend that you at least evaluate the product at your magic store to see if you can make it work before you invest 30 bucks.-Wayne N. Kawamoto
