This one was once performed on national television by Doug Henning so it's been around for awhile. You can't allow spectators to hold the cube in their hands or mix it up, but it's a great effect. By the way, this is not the "Rubics Cube" routine that Garrett Thomas performs on the Live at the "Jailhouse: a Guide to Restaurant Magic" DVD (you can read my review here).
The trick is not difficult to learn and perform, which makes it great for beginners. The kit comes with the gimmicked Rubik's Cube, which is a real one that has been doctored for the trick, and good written instructions.
If you like the sound of this trick, I can recommend that you check it out.
