Review: Energy Bill by Andrew Gerard

Here's an apparent demonstration of telekinesis that quite frankly, seemed obvious to me. But if you like the way that the effect looks in its demonstration video, I'll offer my impressions to assist in your decision.

Folding In

You borrow a bill, which can be signed, and it is placed onto the table. As you hold one side of the bill, it begins to bend, apparently in response to an unseen psychic force exerted from your other hand. If you like, you can let go of the bill and it will fold and fall over on its own.

As the ads state, the effect doesn't rely on threads, magnets, static, blowing or any other device or gimmick. As a result, the method seemed obvious to me.

Impromptu

You can borrow and use just about any bill. There’s a bit of setup ahead of time that occurs under lots of misdirection. There’s also a bit of clean-up before you can hand the bill back. I like the subtlety that Andrew Gerard creates before the bending of the bill takes place. The trick is not difficult to learn and perform.

This can be a great impromptu effect because you can perform it any time with any bill. I tried it out a few times and it got good reactions. Despite this, I still don’t necessarily believe in this one. Perhaps when performed with several other bill effects in series, this one can play strong.

One last thing, for a DVD, this one is pricey.

MSRP: $45.00
