Magic with a "Mullica Wallet"
Early on, after trying several wallets, I ultimately settled on the "Mullica" and it has served me well. The “Mullica” is known as the “no palming” wallet for performing “card to wallet.” While the Mullica has never failed me, occasionally, however, I have heard spectators ask “is that really your wallet?” as I brought it out. Being the size of a checkbook case, the “Mullica” is on the large side.
That’s why I was so intrigued with the new “SuperSlim Hip Pocket Mullica” that is smaller and looks more like a wallet that most men may carry and use. As the name implies, the wallet is indeed slightly thinner and fits easier into a pocket.
In operation, I found that I could immediately use the “SuperSlim” as I did my old reliable “Mullicas,” and took the wallet through its paces all week at my restaurants. It worked for me, right out of the box.
The inner wallet has an additional advantage over a classic “Mullica Wallet,” a zipper, which adds to the impossibility of the effect. In my routines, I do make use the clear window in my standard “Mullica” as misdirection, and I miss it in the “SuperSlim,” however, this is a minor point. The “SuperSlim” also comes with a DVD that offers some great routines.
Regular Wallet?
The ads say that you could use the “SuperSlim” as your regular wallet. While true, paper money doesn’t fit neatly into any one compartment and has to be folded. Also, I think pulling out the inner wallet to show my driver’s license would be rather clumsy. For me, however, this is not an issue as I always keep my regular and magic wallets separate (although I dress my magic wallets with fake credit cards and such to make them look like wallets in use). Personally, I prefer my magic wallets to appear in good condition and not from-the-pocket decrepit.
In all, there’s lots to like about the “SuperSlim Hip Pocket Mullica.” If you’re going to get a Mullica wallet, I highly recommend this one.
