"Blink" offers a well gimmicked playing card that allows you to quickly and visually change one card into another. The change itself is fast and stunning and the prop is easy to work with, which makes it great for beginners.
The basic routine is as follows. After a card is selected and returned to the deck, you remove a card and place it face-up on the deck. After the spectator tells you that it’s not his card, you wave the deck up and down and it visually changes into the spectator’s card. The card has been in full view the entire time with no cover.
After the change you can show the card on both sides - it looks to be a normal Bicycle playing card. However, you won’t be able to hand out the card for examination.
The gimmicked card is well made and passes for a normal card. And the prop is easy to use so it’s great for beginners. Also, the instructions are clear and easy to follow.
"Blink" is basically a color change - the replacement of one card for another, which is accomplished through mechanical means. Those who are experienced with cards will have sleight-based techniques for creating crowd pleasing changes. But for an open and fast change that is easy to perform, "Blink" is well worth it.
