Skeletons
The deck consists of white-backed cards with an edgy design that has skeletons and was created by French artist Sam Hayles. The backs consist of black and white artwork that don't resemble the traditional Bicycle design. You'll also find skeletons for jokers as well as another skeleton on the Ace of Spades. The Karnival Deck uses a thick, high grade stock and the air flow finish feels silky smooth when executing card fans. Some extras: 1) theres a subtle one-way design that won't be apparent to spectators that you can use as you wish, 2) the barcode on the box offers a card revelation, 3) the deck comes with a double-backer and 4) one of the jokers is clasping a "three of hearts" for an additional revelation. On the downside, I found that the joker revelation was difficult to make out. The suit is clear but the number is not.
Eight Bucks
Eight dollars is a lot to pay for a deck of cards, but if you like the decks edgy look, you may want to purchase one. Overall, I like the appearance and feel of these cards, however, in my walk around work, Im inclined to stay with traditional red and blue Bicycle cards that raise no suspicions among spectators.MSRP: $7.99
