Demo: The Magic Card Box

By Wayne Kawamoto, About.com

1 of 3

Here's a prop that's often found in magic sets and is also sold on its own. It's a box that allows you to vanish a card, change one for another or restore a torn up card. It's very easy to use and can be a great asset in your card magic. Prices vary, usually depending on the quality, between five and ten dollars.

Here's one example of how the card box may be used. You have a spectator select a card, say, the queen of hearts. You lose the card in the deck and then pull out a card and tell the spectator that their card was the nine of clubs.

The spectator tells you that you are wrong. You place the nine of clubs into the card box.
