The Glass Penetration
Here's a great beginner’s trick that allows you seemingly pass an object through a pane of glass without harming it. The frame actually houses a sheet of clear plastic, but the illusion is quite convincing.
Magic Card Box
Here's a prop that’s often found in magic sets and is also sold on its own. It's a box that allows you to vanish a card, change one for another or restore a torn up card. It's very easy to use and can be a great asset in your card magic.
The Coin Dish
Often found in magic sets and sold on its own, the coin dish is a magic prop that allows you to seemingly multiply a number of coins. This is a great trick for beginning magicians and young kids as it's easy to learn and perform.
The Chain Escape
Here's a great escape style trick for beginners. After spectators tightly bind your hands with a normal chain and lock, you immediately break free.
The Die Divination
This mind-reading trick allows you to somehow identify the number on a die that a spectator has chosen. Despite the fact that the die is secretly sealed inside of two opaque canisters, you can instantly name the number.
Coin Base
Here's an easy trick that's often found in beginner's magic sets as well as sold on its own. In the trick, a "base" is shown to be empty. After placing a cover on top, a coin magically appears, seemingly out of nowhere. This trick is particularly good for young kids.
The Snapper
This trick is sometimes found in beginning magic sets but is usually sold on its own. It consists of a tube with a rubber band attached to one end and a cap with a hook on the other. It's a "do as I do" style trick where you are always successful but the spectator can’t duplicate your accomplishment.
The Escape
A piece of cardboard is secured inside of a cardboard tube with a metal hasp - both pieces have holes that secure the card into the tube. Somehow, you're able to remove the card from the tube.
The Imp Bottle
The imp bottle is an odd-shaped vase with a rounded and weighted bottom that stands up on its own. Somehow, only you can make it lie down.
The Vase
In this magic set staple, a rope somehow adheres to the inside of a small vase. The opening of the vase is large enough that the rope passes freely. But when you want to, the rope stays in place when it's inserted into the vase.
Mind Reading Cards
A well known beginning trick that's found in magic kits and is sold on its own, mind reading cards allow you to identify a playing card or number that a spectator is thinking of.
The Vanisher
In this easy magic trick, you place an object, usually a ball, into a clear plastic box. The ball vanishes under the cover of a handkerchief.
The Magic Coin Box
The magic coin box is a clear plastic box that seemingly can't be opened. There are no apparent doors, flaps or other openings.
The Coin Escape
In this easy trick, a coin is secured inside of three panels of plastic that have four rubber bands running against the sides. Despite this, you manage to cause the coin to vanish under the cover of a handkerchief.
Spring and Ring
You bring out a small spring that has a ring attached to it. Your spectators are invited to remove the spring from the ring. But try as they may, they are unable to do so.
The Drawer
This prop is a production device that lets you easily produce anything that fits inside of it.
Vanishing Papers
This magic prop allows you to make small items such as coins or bills vanish or appear. This one is easy to learn and perform.
The Money Machine
Here's a great, visual and easy magic trick. And it's about money.
Nickel to Dimes
This is an easy magic trick to learn and perform. You somehow change a stack of nickels into a stack of dimes.
The Spiked Coin
This is a well known trick that is often found in magic sets and kids often buy and perform. In the trick, you place a coin or solid plastic disk into a cylindrical box and place a cap on it, and then seemingly push a series of nails through the box and coin.
The Color Cube
Here's an easy magic trick that is a mind-reading effect. It's available for under ten dollars at any magic dealer in various versions. The trick is quite baffling and easy to learn and perform.
The Floating Match
If you want to levitate an object and cause it to seemingly float in the air, here's a low cost trick that you can purchase from most magic dealers. This one is particularly good for beginners because it is easy to learn and perform.
The Paddle
Here's a low cost prop that you can purchase from a magic store and versions of this trick are commonly found in beginners magic sets. The trick is called the "paddle" and there's a specific move that you have to master before you can do the trick. The move is not difficult to learn and perform.
The Ball and Vase
The magician displays a small vase, takes out a ball and places it in her pocket. With a wave of the hand or other incantation, the ball appears back in the vase. And with another incantation, the ball disappears from the vase and reappears in the pocket. This one is easy to perform and is perfect for young kids.
The Coin Slide
The Coin Slide is an ultra-simple trick for young kids to learn and perform. It’s available from any magic dealer and many toy stores for less than a couple of dollars. A mechanical trick, the effect does all the work to make a coin disappear and reappear.
The Cups & Balls
While professional magicians perform stunning, advanced versions of this classic, beginning magicians can purchase simple, pre-packaged versions that result in a mystifying sequence.
Color-Changing Handkerchiefs
In The Color-Changing handkerchiefs, the magician appears to make a handkerchief of one color change colors by simply pushing it through a hand. At the end, the magician shows that his or her hand is empty.
