Las Vegas Magicians
The lessons are presented by Las Vegas magicians Will Roya and Joan DuKore who work with an audience of 20 kids. In classic fashion, Roya or DuKore perform a simple trick and then teach how to do it. The tricks on volumes one and two are easy enough that kids can pretty much go out and immediately perform them after a couple of run-throughs.Volume one features 15 magic tricks. All are classics that are commonly found in beginning magic books. Roya and DuKore teach four ways to vanish a coin and there are several tricks with a straw: making a straw wrapper disappear, causing a straw to mysteriously stick to your hand and roll across the table. The well known coin through handkerchief trick is going to take some practice.
More Tricks
There's classic linking a pair of paper clips on a dollar bill as well as jumping rubberband, a band that's resting on the fingers jumps from one set of fingers to the other. Kids will thoroughly like Up the Nose where a band appears to fly up the performer's nose.
Volume one also comes with a prop to perform Penetrating Coin. Here, a coin that resting on a sheet of rubber somehow penetrates to the other side.
Each of the three other titles in the set teach more tricks, but difficulty increases somewhat with each volume. Each title comes with its own prop. Volume two, for example, comes with a magic paddle.
