As the name implies, "Party Magic Kit" offers a series of tricks that kids can perform at parties. It is one of ten "Ultimate Magic Club" titles marketed by Scholastic. While most magic tricks will lend themselves to performing at parties, there are some decent tricks here that roughly fit the theme.A throwback to old-school style magic, with the Instant Flower Set, kids can make a small fake flower instantly appear by waving their magic wands.

In the Cards
Mini Deck of Cards is just that, a pocket-sized deck of ungimmicked cards for performing tricks. Here, the accompanying book teaches standard tricks that include a four ace production, mind reading effect and more.Birthday Cake Puzzle offers several puzzle pieces. By arranging the pieces in a special way, a piece of the cake mysteriously vanishes. This trick is similar to the "Vanishing Ghoul" puzzle trick in the Spooky Magic Kit.
Good Instructions
The instruction book is colorful, informative and well written and offers variations on the main tricks that you can perform using the props. The DVD is first rate with good production values.At ten dollars, it's hard to go wrong with this magic set. The tricks are easy to learn and perform and everything is appropriate for the target ages.
