1. Show the Nine of Diamonds and the Six of Hearts to your audience and ask a volunteer to push the cards into the face-down deck, anywhere they wish.
3. After straightening the deck, hold the deck in your hand between your fingers and thumb (your thumb is on the top and your fingers below). Squeeze the pack and toss the deck onto your other hand, keeping the bottom and top cards in your left hand, as shown in the illustration.
4. Show your audience the cards (the Nine of Hearts and Six of Diamonds) that you've seemingly found in a split second. While your audience will think that you found the same cards, you've actually switched them. The Nine of Hearts and the Six of Diamonds look much like the Six of Hearts and the Nine of Diamonds. Most people won't notice the difference.
