Easy Magic Trick: Card Prediction - Second Method

Instructions

1. Place the envelope and the deck of cards on the table.
2. Ask the spectator to think of a number between 11 and 19. As an example, assume that the spectator thinks of the number 15.
3. Ask the spectator to count down to that number in the deck by dealing a card for each number. When he reaches 15, tell him that you really want to mix things up.
4. Have him take the stack that he counted onto the table and place it back onto the top of the deck, and ask him to add the two digits in his number (1+5=6). Ask the spectator to count six cards from the top of the deck and to turn over the sixth card, which will be the two of clubs.
5. Point out the envelope that has been in full view the entire time and ask the spectator to open it. When he reads the note, it will state the card that he “randomly” selected.

No matter which number the spectator chooses between 11 and 19, they’ll always select the tenth card from the top. Just follow the instructions and try the other numbers out.
