Easy Magic: A Dicey Card Prediction

Effect:
You hand a spectator a pack of cards and two dice. The spectator rolls the dice and adds the numbers on the top and bottom of the dice. Let's say that the spectator obtains the number "14." The spectator takes the cards and counts from the top card to the 14th card. Let's say that the 14th card is the five of hearts. You hand the spectator a folded sheet of paper. After unfolding the paper, the spectator finds that "five of hearts" is written on it. You have successfully predicted a card that a spectator would pick.

Secret:
It looks as if the spectator rolls a random number with the dice. However, when you add the top and bottom numbers together on two dice, you will always obtain the number 14. Try it out with a pair of dice. The card that you write down on the sheet of paper is simply the 14th card in the deck.

Materials:
A pair of dice (you can raid a Monopoly game), a deck of cards and some paper and a pencil.
