Take out your deck of cards. Spread the cards towards yourself and split the deck at the halfway point and lay the two halves of the deck on the table. You should have one pile with clubs and hearts and a second pile containing spades and diamonds.

Pick up one of the piles and ask the spectator to mix it. After the first pile is placed down on the table, offer the second pile to be mixed.
