When you come back, the assistant points to a card and asks “Is this the card.” Continue to say “no” and take no note of the cards.
When the assistant eventually points at the six of hearts, he will touch the pip that corresponds to the location of the chosen card on the table. For example, if the chosen card is in the top right corner of the layout, when pointing to the six of hearts, the assistant will casually lay his finger over the pip that corresponds with this position, the heart in the top right corner. Later, when your assistant points to the card in the top right corner, say “yes.”
If the card is the six of hearts, the assistant points to the six on the card. When the assistant does this and asks “is this the card?” say “yes.”
