Pseudo Psychometry

By Wayne Kawamoto, About.com Guide

Definition: Pseudo Psychometry is a type of mentalism routine where several spectators have items that are associated with them and the magician somehow identifies which item is owned by which person.

In these routines, items are typically borrowed from audience members and mixed as the magician looks away. The magician then brings out each object and identifies its owner.

Examples: The magician performed a pseudo psychometry routine where he somehow identified each spectator's object.
