Oil and Water

By , About.com Guide

Definition: Oil and Water is an effect with playing cards where red and black cards are mixed, and they eventually separate, just as oil and water in a salad dressing. Typically, most versions of oil and water use six cards - three red and three black.

Almost all version require sleight of hand skills and some employ gimmicked cards, as is the case with David Solomon’s “Technicolor Oil and Water” (you can read my review here).
