WK: What are you working on these days magically?
Brian Ochab: Magic has really played an important role in my life and continues to do so. I will be publishing (sometime in the near future) a wonderful effect which I created with Johnny Ace Palmer.
My directing career is really taking off and is center stage right now. I currently have an independent feature film in development which is starting to attract some investors. In addition, I am talking with a major studio about directing a new television series which combines motion capture and CG animation. It's an exciting time.
I would be remiss not to mention that along the way I met Johnny Ace Palmer and John George who are now close personal friends. They were extremely helpful when I was developing my act and they offered me valuable input and some great ideas.
In a wonderful new book called “The Cinema of George Lucas,” Steven Spielberg was quoted as saying "George has never stopped asking "any ideas?" and the world is a better place because of it." I am a firm believer it that. Whether you happen to be on a movie set or developing a magic act or creating a new magic effect. Find people who are talented, whom you trust and ask "any ideas?...and you will see real magic happen.
