While the Hindu Shuffle can be used to mix the cards in a deck - it rearranges the order of the cards in segments - the shuffle itself is rarely used by non-magicians, for example, in a game of cards. In these situations, you’re far more likely to see people using Overhand or Dovetail Shuffles.
