Easy Magic Tricks For Kids With Coins

Here are the best easy magic tricks with coins that are perfect for kids. These coin tricks are easy to learn and perform. Some do require props that are easy to make from common materials found around the house.

Most coin magic is associated with sleight of hand and difficult moves. But these tricks were specially selected for kids. They are all easy to learn and perform, as well as simple to understand. They also create immediate results for kids so they don't get frustrated.

Magic in Money

A big plus with coin magic is that coins are readily found. You won't need any special coins for any of these tricks. You can use what you have in your pockets or purses. You may have a jar of coins sitting around that you can mine for magic tricks.

As you can imagine, most of the coins are of the vanishing variety. The coins mysteriously vanish. But some have a similar plot as a basic card trick where the kid magician can somehow find a coin that has been marked by a spectator. And still, other tricks feature the ultimate dream, being able to multiply one's money using a little magic. (Too bad these tricks aren't real.)

Here's a great trick where a coin mysteriously vanishes underneath a glass (clear plastic cup). It's something of a craft project as well as a simple magic trick. But kids will have fun with this one.

In this easy magic trick, kids have a spectator randomly select a coin from several that are in a bag or bowl. With a marker, the spectator writes his initials on the coin. The spectator concentrates on the coin for a few seconds and places it with the others inside of the bowl. Without looking, the kid is able to immediately reach into the bowl and pull out the selected and marked coin.

    Vanishing a Coin With Rings

In this easy magic trick, kids show two rings, a playing card and a coin that are sitting on a piece of paper. The rings and playing card are stacked on top of the coin. When a ring and the card are removed, the coin has completely vanished.

Instead of the heavy rings that we have used, you can use inexpensive plastic bracelets found at a local dollar store. This one is similar to the vanishing of a coin with a glass mentioned earlier in this list. However, the earlier trick only requires a clear plastic cup, which is probably easier to find and get ahold of.
