Is it just me or are there a lot of magic shows that are running at various theaters in Los Angeles? Here's a show and performer that I had never heard of before and they're the subject of an article in the Los Angeles Times. Albie Selznick's 'Smoke and Mirrors' apparently tells a story about how magic helped him deal with the loss of his father.
"When I was a kid my friends used to ask me why I wanted to be a magician," Selznick is quoted as saying in his show. "I used to tell them: 'To bring back the dead.'"
