Hollywood's Magic Castle To Get Movie Treatment?
A recent story in "The Hollywood Reporter" states that a feature film based on Hollywood's Magic Castle is being developed by producer Ted Field and his company, Radar Pictures, and is set up through 20th Century Fox. You can read the story here.

Is a Ticket Broker's Demise Bringing "Disaster" to Las Vegas Shows?
Prestige Travel, one of the main ticket brokers for Las Vegas shows, recently filed for bankruptcy. Will this bring disaster to Las Vegas shows? Ariann Black, in her "Black's Magic" blog, recently wrote about the event's impact. "Large show producers like Cirque du Soleil will be hurt yet not truly affected by this sudden turn of events," says Black in her blog. "But smaller shows will be soon be forced to close or declare bankruptcy themselves because of this one company's bankruptcy debacle." You can read the entire story here.

Mac King Offering Free Tickets to Vets
According to a recent press release, in honor of Veterans Day, Mac King will be offering two free tickets to veterans and active military personnel to "The Mac King Comedy Show." From November 5-17, a VIC ID, DAV ID or CAC shown at the box office at Harrah's in Las Vegas is all that is needed to obtain free tickets. "The tremendous service our active and retired military provide to protect and defend our country is the reason I am able to do what I love the most," says King in the release. "Giving them an afternoon of magic and laughter is my way of saying thanks for all that they do for our country.
