Who’s the Best Magician? Readers' Choice Awards

In the past, I've commented on who I thought were our finest magicians. But my lists, which include: The Top Ten Magicians of Our Time and The Ten Best Close-Up Magicians, were simply my opinion. And there's no way that I can see all of the great magicians of the world.

This is why I'll be taking advantage of some tools here at About.com that will allow me to compile nominations from readers and ultimately crown the best stage magician and best close-up magician. I'll also be polling for another category, best magic product.

So please start thinking of your top five in each category, and if you're a magician or magic producer feel free to work up your social media - Facebook and such, as well as your email list - to encourage your fans to submit your name.

It all starts Wednesday, January 18, 2012 and details will follow. I'm looking forward to hearing from you. And the winners will be enshrined on a special, dedicated About.com page.
