J C Sum & 'Magic Babe' Ning to Perform Newest Mega Illusion

Lately, it seems as if the mega-magic-stunt/illusion has gone by the wayside. It used to be that every time there was a magic television special, an illusionist was vanishing something big: a national monument or mode of transportation. But according to a recent release, J C Sum & 'Magic Babe' Ning will be performing such a stunt, attempting to capture the thoughts of 100 random people. And taking advantage of our connected world, the feat will be streamed live on the internet so anyone from any part of the world can witness it.

The release says that the illusion, "The Mind Heist," will occur on January 7, 2012. The 100 random individuals will consist of news and media representatives and members of the public. Interested participants may register online at jcsum.com to be one of the 100 individuals whose minds will be read. Furthermore, Singapore Book of Records and the International Brotherhood of Magicians will adjudicate and officiate the proceedings. The stunt will be the magic duo's 9th mega illusion.

"The Mind Heist embraces the current social media age we are in," says Ning in the release. "J C and I aim to create an innovative illusion, which empowers the audience; allowing them to freely interact as they would in any kind of new media, user-generated, entertainment content platform."

According to the release, J C Sum and 'Magic Babe' Ning have performed professionally as a magic duo since 2006. The Straits Times, Channel News Asia, Razor TV, AXN Asia, CTV (Taiwan), and other media recognize the two Singaporean talents as one of the top illusion teams in the world.
