Close-Up Magic With Finger Rings

By August 17, 2011

Follow me on:

Let's take a break from playing cards. Two new marketed effects offer cool new routines that employ finger rings. John Shyrock's outstanding "Ring in Walnut" allows you to borrow a finger ring and later find it inside of a walnut, which is found inside of an egg, which is found inside a lemon. And the lemon has been sitting out in plain view since the beginning of the trick. This one is fantastic and you can read about it here.

David Jay's "The Ringmaster" offers a series of fast-paced effects where a finger ring vanishes and immediately jumps to your fingers. If you've watched Johnny Ace Palmer or have seen Garrett Thomas perform his "Ring Thing," the effect is similar. You can read my review here.
