The Magic of Magic

Saturday July 11, 2009
Here's a fascinating story about the power of magic.

Ricky Boone has been performing magic professionally for 36 years and owns a magic store in Asheville, N.C. Born with a rare bone disorder, doctors predicted that he wouldn't make it to adulthood. Today, he relies on a wheelchair.

"[people] see me as someone to pity," Boone says in the story. "But if I can make that person laugh their butt off, then they have no time to feel sorry for me, and they forget that I'm in a chair."

Ricky is a very funny guy. I had the pleasure of visiting his magic shop, Magic Central while busking in Asheville NC and meeting him. Ricky has got some stories boy!
