I thought I had seen everything regarding "cap in bottle," but that's until I saw Justin Miller's brilliant "Captured" (MSRP: $30.00 - Murphy's).
This effect offers a new approach to the classic effect that is absolutely bewildering. It also leaves you clean with nothing in your hands and a bottle that may be closely examined. You can watch the effect on video.
You grab a nearby, empty bottle. You place a bottle cap in a spectator's open palm and slam the bottle onto the spectator's palm and the cap. In the blink of an eye, the cap is now in the bottle. Spectators can examine the bottle and they won't find a thing. Meanwhile, your hands are empty and you're clean.
The method is pure genius and not difficult to learn and perform. There is some considerable preparation ahead of time, but the results are worth it. The instructions are clear and direct and the kit comes with the necessary gimmicks. All you have to do is provide a bottle and cap.
I really like this visual and stunning effect.
