Review: Master Card Routines by Chris Priest

Friday August 1, 2008

It's in the Cards

I recently discovered Chris Priest when I reviewed his "Protons" DVD. On that DVD, Priest taught his amazing sponge ball routine. Since then, I've incorporated elements from Priest's routine and Bill Malone's, which was taught on the Reel Magic Quarterly DVD, V. 4, and been working up a new routine at my restaurants and walkaround gigs. Both routines go beyond the standard routine with sponge balls.

While I already have an ambitious card routine, I like the one that Priest teaches on this DVD. In particular, I like the way that he minimizes the use of the standard move and incorporates some different techniques. He also offers on this DVD a great four ace routine that combines several classics.

You'll like this DVD if you are currently developing an ambitious card or four-ace routine, or want to improve one that you already perform.
