"That Reminds Me" Presents 250 Funny Jokes
According to a recent release, Michael Close, world-class sleight-of-hand magician; book reviewer for Genii magazine, top jazz pianist and writer, published his latest work and first joke book, "That Reminds Me: Finding the Funny in a Serious World."
The book presents jokes that Close has been compiling including old chestnuts, jokes written by his friends and original material he has used himself or passed on to friends because he knew it would work well for them. “The book contains over 250 of the best squeaky clean (and not-so-clean) jokes you've ever read,” as well as a forward written by Penn Jillette (of Penn & Teller), the release states.
In 2007, Close and Lisa, his wife, were in Guatemala to adopt a child. When the adoption process stretched to almost nine months, Close decided that it was the right time to pen a collection of the best jokes from his vast repertoire.
"Times are about as grim as they've ever been for most of us," Close says in the release. "People need to focus on the importance of "finding the funny" in their own lives...this is the perfect book for anyone who needs a good laugh."
The book is available through Amazon.com.

I saw Michael at LVMI last year.
I really liked his no-nonsense demeaner.
I think he has a great professional attitude toward the art… and look forward to meeting him again!
