Chris Ayres recently visited Hollywood's Magic Castle and recorded his experience for all to read. While reminiscing about his Castle visit, he says that he fears for the Castle's future.

According to Ayres, the owners of the ten-acre Magic Castle/Yamashiro property, 11 descendants of the landowner who purchased it for $150,000 in 1948, are entertaining offers of some $70 million.

"Naturally, promises have been made to preserve the existing structures, but I have a horrible feeling they will go the same way as so much of LA's instantly disposable history," Ayres says in the story.
