Magic School to Open in India
Saturday July 14, 2007
P.C. Sorcar Jr., a well known Indian magician, is opening a school of magic to help keep the ancient art form alive. Sorcar is well known for having made the Taj Mahal (recently voted one of the Seven Wonders of the World) temporarily vanish.
"The over 2,000-year-old craft of street magicians was passed on through word of mouth before," Sorcar Jr. says in the story. "It would be a loss for Indian magic if this art was not preserved."
