Buying Magic on the Internet

Wednesday November 29, 2006
A young magician recently asked me after a show for some advice on purchasing a particular magic prop. His question prompted some thought and the following article that discusses purchasing magic through the internet.

Nice advice in this article. I’d like to suggest that if you plan to order magic from a website, please choose a dealer who ALSO operates a real life brick and mortar magic shop. Several of those mentioned by Wayne fit that bill.

Magic Shops are becoming rare and it’s a commodity we don’t want to see disappear to simply the cheapest online dealer. NOTHING replaces the heart, advice, and relationship you can have with an honest to goodness magic shop.

If you don’t have a shop in your town, my hometown shop in Pittsburgh is great and they sell nationwide. Tom & Linda at www.thecuckoosnest.com
