Adding Hocus Pocus to Public Speaking
"There’s an old adage in the speaking business that says you get paid for your content, but you are the one that gets hired because of your entertainment value," says Antion. "This couldn’t be more true in today’s short attention span meeting environments."
Antion says that his training program is based around tricks that take 15 minutes or less to practice and use either no props, or props you can make yourself. "The course is specifically designed to include things speakers can say during a trick (patter) to illustrate speaking points," says Antion. "Most magic courses are designed for entertainment only and include patter that’s mystical or funny."
