TV Special Waters Down Blaine's Stunt

article says that ABC’s two-hour special, "David Blaine: Drowned Alive," "was a cheesy, heavily padded account of the magician’s weeklong stunt inside an 8-foot fishbowl...(you could almost hear the carnival barker's cries and smell the malarkey)." According to preliminary Nielsen figures, "Drowned Alive" averaged a total of 9.9 million viewers, to achieve fourth place in its time slot. The special fared better than Blaine’s "Vertico," but did far less than "Frozen in Time."
