Mike Bliss Returns to Carthage with Show

This article profiles magician Mike Bliss who is returning to his alma mater to hold a Maple Leaf Festival show at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10 at the Carthage High School Auditorium. He remembers well the venue from his days of high school band and theater. Bliss, who now works as a magician in Branson, says that some teachers still have the cards they confiscated from him back when he was a student. Joining Bliss will be Branson entertainers Debbie Kaye, Gordy Wensel, and the world’s youngest mind readers, Bliss’ sons, Zachary and Stephen, ages 6 and 5. Carthage High School is in Southwest Missouri.
