How Edinburgh Was Held Captive by Houdini
Tuesday August 30, 2005
This story talks about how Houdini, the world's greatest escape artist, the "handcuff king" and "world-famous liberator" shared his wealth with the poor of Edinburgh in the early 1900s. Houdini's time in Edinburgh is the basis of a movie starring Guy Pearce as Houdini and almost certainly Rachel Weisz as a fictional spiritualist he attempts to unmask as a con-woman.
