The Great Lafayette's beloved dog, Beauty, passed away on May 4, 1911. The magician claimed that the dog saved his life when a lion escaped during an illusion, and demanded that Beauty be buried in a people, and not a pet, cemetary. Also, magician Servais Le Roy was born on May 4, 1865.
