S.A.M. Hall of Fame Closed
Wednesday April 20, 2005
A story in the Los Angeles Times discusses the current situation at the S.A.M. Hall of Fame and Magic Museum. Magician John Engman is quoted. Vapors from a fire, which included Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs), traveled through a Department of Water & Power conduit into the hall, where they were picked up by the ventilation system and circulated throughout. After the December 13, 2004 fire, the museum was closed to the public due to chemical contamination.
